Jewellery Care
We design our jewellery to last, but a little care can go a long way in preserving its beauty and longevity. Follow these simple tips to keep your pieces shining and timeless for years to come.
Caring for Your Jewellery
Avoid Chemicals and Moisture: Keep your jewellery away from chemicals found in perfumes, lotions, deodorants, and household cleaners, as these can cause tarnishing. We also recommend removing your pieces before swimming, showering, or applying suntan lotions or body oils, as chlorine, saltwater, and chemicals may affect the finish. To further protect your pieces, avoid exposing them to moisture or rough handling, and put on your jewellery after you’ve finished dressing to minimise contact with these elements.
Handle with Care: Our jewellery is crafted with durable materials, but treating it gently is essential. Take off your jewellery before engaging in activities that may cause extra wear, like exercise or manual work. If your piece has stones, be mindful to avoid knocks or impacts that could damage the setting or stones.
Clean Carefully: Gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove oils and residues. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to clean your silver jewellery, as these can scratch or damage the metal.
Storing Your Jewellery
Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Store each piece individually in a pouch or soft-lined box to prevent scratching and tangling. Avoid humid environments, like bathrooms, as humidity can accelerate tarnishing. Keeping jewellery in a cool, dry space out of direct sunlight will also help maintain its original color and lustre.
Separate Metals and Stones: Where possible, store your pieces by type to prevent different metals from interacting and tarnishing each other. This is especially helpful with mixed-metal collections and delicate gemstones.
Consider Airtight Storage for Delicate Pieces: To reduce exposure to air, which can cause tarnishing over time, consider storing jewellery in individual airtight bags or containers. Just avoid rubber containers, as these can cause jewellery to darken.
With these simple care steps, your jewellery will stay as beautiful as the day you first wore it. Each piece is designed to be by your side for years, celebrating all of life’s moments with timeless elegance.
